You probably hate lawyers, don't you!

Most businesses have had bad experiences with attorneys and law firms.

Why will working with Danny Bronski (and VeriTrademark) be different?

I want to answer a few questions that might provide you with some clues!

What is unique about your approach to client service?

My profession is often properly maligned for insensitivity to client needs, but I am very focused on the "service" aspect of what I do.

  • I spend a lot of time developing better processes to add value to your business
  • I harness technology to save you money
  • I return phone calls promptly and otherwise keep you fully informed
  • I don't typically charge for small "nuisance expenses" like photocopies
  • I offer creative billing approaches to better align your interests with mine
  • I put forth extra effort in many other ways to make you feel valued as a client

What else is unique about your approach to practicing law?

I have the requisite intelligence and attention to detail that all top attorneys have, but I think I have something better to offer... creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset.

I believe that most legal issues are business problems in disguise, and the litigious, win-lose attitude that is instilled in most attorneys in counter-productive. After all, when all you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail...and most attorneys can't seem to lose their grip on the hammer!

My practice is also built on the twin foundations of a top-notch education and a wealth of business and entrepreneurial experience that few attorneys can match.

Can you work with me regardless of the location of my business?

    In a word... YES.

I am licensed to practice law in both Washington and New York. My office is physically located in Seattle in the historic Pioneer Square district. However, most trademark and intellectual property issues are governed by federal law. Since I will be interpreting federal law, it doesn't matter where I am or where you are. Moreover, in this era of free and easy digital and electronic communication, most of what I do doesn't require us ever meeting face to face! In fact, I've never met many of my clients. Contact me and we can talk more about how I can add value to your business!

What do you think is wrong with the way lawyers conduct their business?

I have many complaints about the institution of law, and am often dumbfounded at the approach some of my colleagues take to their practice -- especially the client service aspect.

Somebody recently told me that the legal profession was one of two careers where pessimists outperform optimists. I have a theory about this: pessimists can identify more legal issues, scare you and then bill for these issues. In fact, the entire law school grading process is based on how many issues you can spot from a fact pattern! Is this what you want from an attorney? Somebody who creates problems to line his coffers? Or do you want somebody who will work with you to grow your business? Somebody with an entrepreneurial mindset?

To be sure, the type of thinking and attitude that drives successful entrepreneurs (creative, generative, optimistic) is almost non-existent in my profession, but it shouldn't be this way. The legal profession is in need of some fresh ideas, and I like to think that I am a rare source of creative thinking in the legal world. Many of my ideas are geared to how I can help you (my clients) more.

Why are you practicing law anyway?

It's true, I often feel like a "square peg" in the legal world. However, the deficiencies in my profession are also what makes it so attractive to me!

I have a passion for the law because I enjoy helping people and I honestly believe that a law degree is one of the most practical ways to do this. I also have a passion for ideas; I am an entrepreneur by nature, who likes to think of better ways to do things, and few things need a fresh injection of new ideas like the legal profession does!

I bring this mindset to help your business succeed! I believe that my sincere and unique approach to adding value to businesses as a lawyer WORKS... and this makes the practice of law tremendously rewarding to me. Most days, I can't imagine doing anything else!
